Suspension pole (Funnel Trap or Unitrap)

Especially suitable for Lepidoptera pests, but also useful for Diptera and Coleoptera. It allows the capture of a large quantity of insects that constitute a pest. Formed by a yellow funnel and a green cap. Inside, pheromones and the product are placed to kill insects.

The approaching insects fall through a funnel into a container. In the field it can be operated during 1 flight period (for 4-6 weeks) with the included accessories. The life of the trap can be prolonged up to a full season by the regular exchange of the bait to a new one. However, the trap can be used to catch ONLY the SAME SPECIES as before!

This design is recommended for the capture of large quantities of insects. It is especially suitable for the capture of pests that are not so good, that is, the beetles Anomala vitis, A. dubia and Epicometis (Tropinota) hirta [VARb3k], the goat moth (Cossus cossus) and several beetles (Agriotes spp. ). In contrast to sticky designs, it does not lose efficiency even when very large numbers are captured. Maintenance: replace the bait every 4-6 weeks. The trap has high capture capacity; Its effectiveness is maintained even when a very large number of insects are captured. In some pests the efficiency of the catch can significantly increase the insects captured die in the capture container. In selected cases, it can be used to control the population through mass capture.
