When should Thripex be used?

Use Thripex for the biological control of different species of thrips (the eggs and the first larval stage are consumed). Predatory mites also eat red spiders (eg mites of the strawberry, white spider), other mites, molasses and pollen.

How does Thripex work?

Adult predatory mites actively search for mites and devour them.

Thripex application

Invert the bottle and shake it carefully before use.

Bottle: To open the dispensing orifice, press in the center of the cap.

Bucket: Use a spoon to distribute Thripex, 2-3 ml per block of rock wool, on the opposite side of the spout

Spread the material over the leaves

Choose at least 4 000 introduction points per hectare, evenly distributed over the total area

If you wish, you can distribute Thripex mechanically, using a (Mini) -Air (or) bug

If applied in small piles on the blocks of rock wool, the predatory mites reproduce for a few weeks and disperse in the crop.

Remember that Thripex contains mites from flour and bran. These mites can cause slight damage to some crops, especially if there are a large number of mites and high humidity. Therefore, we recommend that you check with your provider before using Thripex, as well as perform a small field trial to observe the effects. 'Thripex in vermiculite' is the safest product for sensitive crops. Precautions: Inhalation of the product may cause sensitization to the product in manual applications. A mask is recommended as a protection measure for the applicator and anyone working near the area where the product is being applied.

Optimal handling conditions of Thripex

The predatory mite is not susceptible to diapause and, therefore, can be applied throughout the year. The relative humidity should exceed 75% and the temperature 20 ° C for a few hours a day.

Driving

Because biological beneficial organisms have a very short life cycle, they should be introduced into the crop as soon as possible after reception. Otherwise, its quality could be impaired. If you must store the product, please follow the instructions below. Koppert B.V. is not responsible for the loss of quality if the product is stored for longer than recommended or under inappropriate conditions.
