When should Aphidend be used?
Use Aphidend for the biological control of a wide range of aphid species, especially if colonies of aphids are observed.
How does Aphidend work?
The colonies of aphids secrete a molasses smell that attracts the adult cecidomids, which deposit their eggs in these colonies, so that the larvae have a direct source of food. Upon hatching, the larva paralyzes the aphid and consumes it.
Application of Aphidend
Open the Aphidend bottle inside the greenhouse.
Place it directly on the ground or hang it between the plants to keep it away from the ants.
Do not spread the content.
After emerging, the cecidomids leave the bottle and disperse.
A bottle of Aphidend covers an area of approximately 3,000 m². The 500 ml bottle introduces, as a minimum, three cecidomid mosquitoes per m².
Use the drop-down label to indicate where the product was introduced.
Conditions of optimal management of Aphidend
To achieve optimal results, apply Aphidend in an environment with a high relative humidity. Because cecidomids are active at night, it is important that night temperatures remain above 12 ° C, to ensure optimal conditions for oviposition.
Driving
Because biological beneficial organisms have a very short life cycle, they should be introduced into the crop as soon as possible after reception. Otherwise, its quality could be impaired. If you must store the product, please follow the instructions below. Koppert B.V. is not responsible for the loss of quality if the product is stored for longer or under other conditions than those recommended.
