When should Mirical be used?
Use Mirical for the biological control of all stages of:
whitefly of the greenhouses. (Trialeurodes vaporariorum)
Tobacco whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), especially eggs and larvae
Mirical also focuses on:
Red spider
thrips (including Echinothrips americanus)
butterfly eggs
tomato moth (Tuta absoluta)
aphids (to a lesser extent)
leaf miners (to a lesser extent)
Macrolophus can survive for a while by feeding on the sap of plants, but this slows the development of the population.
Enter Macrolophus at the start of the growing season, since the predatory bug needs time to establish and develop.
How does Mirical work?
Adult predatory bugs and nymphs actively seek their prey and consume it. If the predatory bug eats eggs, larvae or pupae of whitefly, only the tegument remains in its original form.
Mirical application
Spread the material on clean and dry rock wool blocks, in Dibox application boxes or on sheets. Make sure the material does not get in the way for at least a few hours.
Enter the product in groups of at least 50 predatory bugs.
Distribute the bottle in 6-10 points of release
Extend the material in thin layers (maximum 1 cm) to favor the exit of predatory bugs from the carrier material.
Use Entofood to provide a source of nutrients early in the season, when the plague pressure is usually low. This improves the development of Macrolophus.
Artefeed can also be used after a few weeks.
Use the drop-down label to indicate where the product was introduced.
Optimal handling conditions of Mirical
The optimum temperature for Mirical exceeds 20 ° C, the lower temperatures significantly slow down the development of Macrolophus pygmaeus.
